FEBRUARY, 1978 CONGRATULATIONS FROM BREVARD FOR YOUR PROMOTIONS N John Metzger Company Vice President — Photo Products Mr. Metzger joined Du Pont in 1946 as a chemical engineer at the Grasselli Works in Linden, N. J. He held technical and supervisory positions at Linden and at plants in East Chicago, Ind.; LaPorte, Tex.; Newport, Ind.; Aiken, S. C.; and Antioch, Calif. In 1960 he moved to the Development Department in Wilmington and was appointed its manager of instrument products a year later. He was named venture manager in 1966 and became manager of the Building Products Division in 1967. Mr. Metzger was appointed director of the Poromeric Products Division of the Fabrics and Finishes Department in 1969. He was named director of the Fluorocarbons Division of the Plastics Department in 1972, and that same year was appointed assistant general manager of the Polymer Intermediates Department. He became assistant general manager of the Photo Products Department on Sept. 1,1974, and general manager on Jan. 1, 1978. Born in Norristown, Pa., Mr. Metzger holds a B. S. degree in chemistry from the Worcester Polytechnic Institute. He is president of Junior Achievement of Delaware, Inc. Mr. Metzger is married to the former Jane Harris of Philadelphia. They have three daughters, Mrs. Susan Ferrell, Mrs. Sally Russell and Miss Donna Metzger. The family lives in Carrcroft, near Wilmington. ‘ v' Kurth Johnson General Manager — Photo Products Mr. Johnson joined Du Pont in 1942 as a student operator at the Parlin, N. J. plant. He held various supervisory positions at Parlin, Rochester, N.Y., and Towanda, Pa., including two years as manager of the Parlin plant. He returned to Wilmington in 1962 as assistant director of production and was appointed director of the Manufacturing Division in 1965 and director of the Marketing Division in 1970. Born in Hartford, Conn., he holds a B. S. degree in chemical engineering and the professional degree of chemical engineer from the Carnegie Institute of Technology. Mr. Johnson married the former Marguerite Roasche of South River, N. J. They have two sons, Gregory Wayne and Bruce Kevin. The Johnsons live in Welshire, near Wilmington.
